Our Story

It all began in 2005 with a question: How can we help community-based, philanthropic, governmental, and business organizations build their capacity to use policy as a tool for achieving positive social change? The answer is Global Policy Solutions, a social change strategy firm dedicated to making policy work for people and their environments.

Led by Dr. Maya Rockeymoore (Cummings), a globally recognized strategist with experience spanning federal, state and local government, academia, think tanks, and non-profit organizations, our team reflects the world we live in, honoring a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Inspired by the deep inequality that remains a fact of life for many people in the U.S. and around the world and by practices that degrade their environments, we specialize in deploying strategies that empower marginalized people and communities while improving the environments in which they live.
