National League of Cities
Non-Profits
In 2015, the National League of Cities Institute for Children, Youth and Education hired Global Policy Solutions to lead a consensus building strategic planning process that involved NLC staff from multiple departments as well as city-level stakeholders. GPS designed and implemented a process that included staff focus groups, team reviews, interviews, and a final strategic planning document. This project required that we become familiar with city-level policy, program, and practice strategies being pursued in states across the country in the areas of public health, economic development, financial security, criminal justice, and child development and education. NLC used the resulting plan GPS developed to guide a new grant strategy they were pursuing with a major funder.
The National League of Cities (NLC) is dedicated to helping city leaders build better communities. Working in partnership with the 49 state municipal leagues, NLC serves as a resource to and an advocate for the more than 19,000 cities, villages and towns it represents.
